After graduating from McGill University, John moved to the West Coast where he spent 14 years as Western Canada’s Sales Manager for three large medical companies. John and his wife, Bev, purchased property on the Sunshine Coast in 1985 and moved into their home in Roberts Creek in 1991. They then bought a waterfront acreage and home in Halfmoon Bay, and have since sold and moved to another waterfront acreage inn Madeira Park in Pender Harbour, and are thus familiar with all areas of the Sunshine Coast.
Through the years John has been a consistent top producer, finishing within the top 10% of Realtors. However, in 1999, John truly distinguished himself by becoming the top selling Realtor for the Sunshine Coast / Squamish/ Whistler Division. In 2005 and 2006 John and Bev were in the top 1% in Canada for Royal LePage (Chairman’s Club). In 2007 John and Bev were in the elite Team President’s Club (top 1%) of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. They continued to rank in the top 3 to 5% in Canada while with Royal Lepage.
As of February 2011 John and Bev were requested and agreed to join ReMax Oceanview Realty and again hoped to achieve Chairman’s club status with ReMax as they did in 2004. In 2014 Bev and John Thompson Group were 2nd within the Remax Oceanview Office which has been the top producing office on the Sunshine Coast for 18 consecutive years. In 2016 Bev and John Thompson again achieved Chairman’s Club Status -for top level sales production within Remax. They enjoy being with the top selling office on the Sunshine Coast and our sellers appreciate it too. Bev and John enjoy working as leaders of their own personal team as well as with this large ReMax team to give their sellers on the Sunshine Coast a higher opportunity of getting their property sold.
When John’s not selling real estate, he enjoys archery, skiing and scuba diving. Together Bev and John enjoy nature hikes, wildlife, cycling, kayaking, power boating and the beauty the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
Originally from Alberta, Bev took her BSc in Pharmacy degree in Edmonton. She moved to the West Coast in 1982 and worked as a Pharmacist in White Rock. Bev eventually moved to Kitsilano area where she purchased, owned and ran a drug store. In 1992 Bev took the Executive MBA program from SFU Harbour Centre. At the same time Bev and John were building their dream home in Roberts Creek on weekends. In 2004 Bev and John bought a Waterfront Home in Halfmoon Bay. In 2005 Bev and John bought a waterfront vacation property in Pender Harbour, and in 2014 also bought a low bank waterfront home, which they now enjoy full time. They definitely appreciate what the Sunshine Coast has to offer for themselves and their clients.
Bev started working for Bank of Montreal in 1996 as Financial Services Manager, moving up the ladder to Manager of Financial Services of 3 banks and then became Commercial Lender to private business. Bev knows the financial industry and can use her knowledge to help you with your financing needs when purchasing your home or investment property.
Bev obtained her Real Estate licence in 2004 and has been working with John and their clients to buy and sell Real Estate on the Sunshine Coast.
